Concert participants enjoy dancing on the beach. The ride behind the stage appears to fly to the music of “Drag Him Down,” which Tim Calborn is fiercely tinkering with.

John Skehan’s mandolin sparkles on the rolling beats of a country rocker. “When the sun enters your blood.” Schaefer enjoys the beach family blowing bubbles into the music, so “when the sun enters your blood / when the hourglass sand turns into mud / then people all over the world love all of you. The crowd cheers, and Schaefer replies: It’s good to be in New Jersey! Before the group starts “Came Up Smoking”. Schaefer sings in this funny story song, “Little Johnny started running / to the water’s edge / he dived in a wild river / he dived from a rocky ledge.” The audience gladly sings, “He came with a smile,” before Matt Sloakham’s swirling organ fills the air and the mandolin, acoustic guitar, bass, and fiddle improvise in these two rhythmic steps.

Robinson’s pedal steel guitar was featured in Folk Rock’s “For Love,” and then the group moved to Folk’s “Day on the Sand.” As the group plays the lyrics “Wind and Water / Sun and Air / Redemption Day / Sand Day”, the sun changes color to the sky and red and orange lights begin to illuminate the stage.

Percussionist Carrie Harmon starts with the group’s next number, “Where Songs Begin,” by putting a solid funclock beat on the drums.
