Following Tennessee's loss, Florida did not rank in USA TODAY sports coaches poll

With Florida’s 38-33 loss to Tennessee on Saturday, the Gators were eliminated in Week 4 of the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Vote. After his 2-2 start to the season and his 0-2 start against the SEC, that UF is currently unranked despite being narrowly beaten by a pair of top 10 opponents. I noticed

At this point in the season, no team with two losses will be in the top 25. Most Power Five programs are ranked in his first four weeks of the season, as he does not face three opponents, so the strength of Florida’s schedule hurts them here. The good news is that things pay off in the long run. If Tennessee and Kentucky continue to perform well all season, Florida will be far less likely to lose to them.

Of course, Florida will have to win a few games to return to the top 25. Eastern He won Washington and Missouri and won’t affect the Gators’ rankings much, but if he takes 2 of 3 games from LSU, Texas A&M and Georgia, it will. The Aggies have beaten a superior Arkansas team to regain their prestige, so at this point that game looks like a must-win for Florida to return to the fold.

For the rest of the SEC, Georgia and Alabama top the rankings, with Kentucky and Tennessee at 8th and 9th respectively, Ole Miss at 11th, Texas A&M at 17th, and Arkansas at 2nd. 19.

If Florida’s loyalty goes even further, Miami dropped out of the top 25 this week after losing to Central Tennessee. However, Florida State took over his No. 22 spot from his UF.
