Designated Financial Advisor

Troy Schaap, Senior Vice President and Financial Advisor of RBC Wealth Management at Longview, has earned the title of Certified Portfolio Manager from the Academy of Certified Portfolio Managers. The curriculum focuses on his three areas of risk management, portfolio construction and valuation analysis.

CPM certification is a collaboration between the Academy of Certified Portfolio Managers and NYU. This includes 200 hours of online independent learning and his week-long face-to-face seminars with NYU’s faculty of financial experts.

VeraBank acknowledged

For the sixth year in a row, Henderson-based VeraBank has been named one of the Best Companies to Work for in Texas for 2022. This statewide survey and awards program aims to identify, recognize and reward the 100 best employment locations in Texas.

Companies across the state participated in a two-part research process to determine the best companies to work for in Texas. The first part consisted of an assessment of the workplace policies, systems, philosophies, practices, and demographics of each nominated company. The second part was an employee survey to measure the employee experience. Total scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Workforce Research Group managed the overall registration and research process and determined the final rankings.

The list of Texas’ 100 Best Workplaces and their rankings will be unveiled for the first time at a ceremony on October 6 at the JW Marriott in Austin.

Broadband communications provider Sparklight was recently named to PC Magazine’s list of America’s 10 Fastest Internet Service Providers for the second consecutive year.

PC Magazine tested ISPs across the country based on their upload and download speeds with PCMag Speedtest from June 1, 2021 to June 7 of this year.
